Hospitality HR advisory

HR for restaurants and hotels, from someone who has run the floor.

We help owners and managers hire the right people, train them properly and keep them: clear roles, a hiring plan that matches the rota, onboarding that works in the first week, and fewer people leaving in the first 90 days.

What the work covers

What we do together.

a.

Hiring plans and roles

The roles you actually need for your volume, with clear job descriptions and pay bands you can explain, before you post a single ad.

b.

Recruitment and interviews

Where to find people, simple interview questions and practical trials for kitchen and floor, so you hire on ability, not just on a CV.

c.

Onboarding and training

A first-week plan, training checklists and station guides, so new staff are productive quickly and standards hold on every shift.

d.

Rotas and labour cost

Schedules built around your real demand, so labour cost stays on target without leaving the floor short at the busy times.

e.

Performance and retention

Regular check-ins, clear expectations and a path to grow, to cut turnover and keep your best people.

f.

Handbook and procedures

A staff handbook and standard procedures in plain language, checked by your own lawyer or HR provider where the law requires it.

Good to know

People and practice, not payroll or legal advice.

We are operators, not lawyers. We do not run payroll or give employment-law advice. We build the practical side, the roles, hiring, training and rotas, and work alongside your accountant, lawyer or HR provider on contracts and compliance.

Where this comes from

Experience behind the work.

Denys Chernenko has 21 years in hospitality. As General Manager of a 65-person franchised restaurant he halved staff turnover, and as Director of F&B for three hotels he brought labour cost from 36% to 28%. He led pre-opening staffing and service standards for a 550-room Residence Inn.

Questions operators ask

Common questions.

What does hospitality HR advisory cover?

The people side of running a restaurant or hotel: which roles you need, how you hire, how you train, how you schedule and how you keep good staff. The goal is a team that holds standards and a labour cost that stays on target.

Do you handle payroll or employment law?

No. We do not run payroll or give legal advice. For contracts, dismissals and compliance we work alongside your lawyer, accountant or HR provider.

Can you help us hire for a new opening?

Yes. We build the hiring plan from the rota and the expected volume, set out the roles and the training plan, and help you run interviews and trials before opening day.

How do we start?
